Travel by train from Prague to Karlštejn and spend a day discovering one of the Czech Republic’s most famous castles and the beautiful countryside surrounding it.

After arriving in Karlštejn, a private minivan will take us to the spectacular Great America Quarry, often nicknamed the “Czech Grand Canyon.” After enjoying the views, we will return to Karlštejn for a lunch break.

From there, we will take a short walk uphill to Karlštejn Castle, founded by Emperor Charles IV in the 14th century. A guided castle tour will introduce you to its fascinating history and its role in protecting the royal treasures of the Holy Roman Empire.

After visiting the castle, we will walk down through the picturesque village of Karlštejn and return to the railway station for our journey back to Prague.
